He is known for his extensive training and research background, which allows him to diagnose and treat a wide array of peripheral nerve-related conditions.

Background and Training

Dr. Pulikkottil was accepted into medical school directly out of high school, enrolling in the competitive Early Admission Program at Siena/Albany Medical College. Afterward, he completed an elite five-year Residency in General Surgery at Rutgers University. 

Over the next few years, Dr. Pulikkottil performed in-depth research in the field of facial and hand transplantation at the University of Pittsburgh. He then continued to advance his skill set with a prestigious three-year Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas at Southwestern, working with among the industry’s most lauded pioneers. Dr. Pulikkottil’s training culminated with a one-year fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Hand and Microsurgery.
